Privacy policy

Updated 24 August 2026

This policy explains what data Snapdump processes, why, who we share it with, and your rights. Snapdump is a Rooteny product. Questions: contact@snapdump.net.

Who we are

Snapdump is a shared-album service: the host signs in with Google, subscribes, connects Drive, and gets a QR. Guests send original photos and videos in the browser; the files go into the host’s Google Drive folder.

Data we collect

Host (Google account): Google account id, email, name, and profile photo. After a subscription or granted access, we may store a Google refresh token so we can write files into the album folder.

Billing: Stripe customer id and subscription status. Card details stay with Stripe, not Snapdump.

Album: name, link code, Drive folder id, creation date, and a recent upload log (file name and time).

Guests do not create an account. On upload, the file passes through Snapdump to the host’s Drive. We do not keep a copy of the file. We may store the file name and timestamp so the host can see recent uploads.

We also process IP address and basic technical data to run the service, limit abuse, and debug failures.

Google and Drive

Sign-in uses OpenID (email and profile). Uploads to Drive use the drive.file scope, limited to files and folders Snapdump creates. We do not read the rest of your Drive.

The Drive token is stored in our environment so uploads can complete. You can disconnect Drive in the host panel; we then revoke the token with Google and stop uploads.

Snapdump’s use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Payments

Billing runs through Stripe in Brazilian reais (Basic R$50 a month, Pro R$200 a month). English marketing may show approximate USD equivalents; Checkout charges BRL. Stripe processes payment data. Snapdump stores the link between your Google account and the Stripe customer, plus subscription status, so we can unlock the folder.

Cookies

We use a session cookie (signed-in host) and a locale cookie. Login and language preference do not work without them. We do not use advertising cookies.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share what is needed with Google (sign-in and Drive) and Stripe (subscription). Snapdump operators may see host email and album metadata for support, trials, or complimentary access.

Guests send files to the host. The host is responsible for what lands in the Drive folder and how those photos are used.

Retention

Host account data stays while the account exists. Drive tokens are deleted or revoked on disconnect. Recent upload logs are capped. You can ask us to delete the account at contact@snapdump.net.

Your rights (LGPD)

If you are in Brazil, Lei 13.709/2018 (LGPD) applies. You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability, information about sharing, and deletion, within legal limits.

To exercise rights: contact@snapdump.net. You may also contact Brazil’s Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD).

Children

Snapdump is not directed at children under 13. Hosts are responsible for what guests send, including images of children at family events, and must have a lawful basis for that content.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top is the current version. Material changes may be emailed when we have a contact address.
